Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Some people experience the gradual wearing away of their teeth over time. Without protective enamel, the underlying dentine wears away much faster. This can lead to sensitivity, jaw problems and teeth which are more difficult to fill because they are shorter and softer. The loss of enamel reduces tooth height and can cause aesthetic and functional problems which cannot be corrected by restoring one tooth at a time.
Full mouth rehabilitation is a comprehensive re-building of worn down teeth. It involves increasing the height of a group of teeth – upper or lower or a combination of both. This type of treatment often requires a multi-disciplinary approach where the ultimate goal is achieved by bringing together many types of treatment.
